Story #2
“Boo!” My brother Jack screams at me. “Ah!!” I scream back. “You are so annoying.” “Am not!” “Are to!” “Am Not!” “Are to!” Mom comes into the room. “What are you to fighting about now?” “Jack keeps trying to scare me and I’m sick of it!” I say. “Jack.” Mom says really annoyed. “You need to stop.” “I’m sorry.” Jack says. Mom walks out of the room. “Not!” Jack says to me. “Ugh! Stop!” I say as I walk out of the room.
“Mom?” I ask, “Can I go trick-or-treating by myself this year? Like, with my friends though.” Mom sighs, “Let me think about it. We still have a week ’till Halloween anyway.” “Ok. Thats fine.” I say back as I start to walk away. “WAIT!” mom yells at me. “I think we are all going to stay home and have a feast instead of go trick-or-treating this year.” “Why?” I ask. I am really suspicious. Mom never yells. “C’mon it’ll be fun!” “I’m good.” I say back. “OLIVIA GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!!” Mom yells again. This is really weird. I never hear mom yell-ever. I start to think. I watched a movie once where the kids went to their parents game night and turns out, there parents were-ALIENS.
I run upstairs and yell for Jack, “JACK! JACK!” “Ugh what?” Jack complains. “I-I-I think moms an-alien.” I say trying to stay calm. “What? You should seriously grow up. Aliens arn’t real!” Jack says tring to make me sound like a baby. “I am serious! Mom yelled at me! She also said I couldn’t go trick-or-treating, she said we were going to have a feast instead. And you know mom, she hates eating!” “Oh… thats not like mom at all…” Jack says starting to get nervous. “Call dad, I will call 911.” “Ok.” I answer. “What if mom is really an alien?” “Then, we run!”
We go downstairs. Mom sees us. “Are you two getting along?” She asks. “Uh.. yeah.” I say trying to not be obvious. “We were just going on a little walk.” “Ok. Be back by 8:00!” Mom says. “Bye!” Jack says as we run out the door. We go outside and look through the window. “Mom has tenticals.” I say, really nervous. “Ya.” Jack says sounding super scared.
